Metadata Specifications

Following are specifications for Film and TV Metadata.  Metadata should be entered directly into PDX™ on the METADATA tab (for US/English language) and the TERRITORY tab for foreign language. 

 

FILM

TV

REQUIRED FIELDS

·  Vendor ID – Identifier for the film (internal ID, SKU, etc.).  Cannot contain spaces (e.g.,  LIONSGATE_HUNGERGAMES_2012)

·  Vendor ID – Identifier for show (internal ID, SKU, etc.).  Cannot contain spaces (e.g., Episode 1 = NBC_PSYCH_101, Episode 2 = NBC_PSYCH_102)

·  Title – Title exactly as it should appear on Platform

·  Show Name – Name of the show as it should appear on Platform

·  Season Number – Ex: Season 2

·  Title – Episode Title (Ex: Liz Lemon’s Bad Day)

·  Episode Production Number – Identifier for each episode (Ex: Season 1, Episode 1 = 101, Season 1, Episode 2 = 102, Season 2, Episode 1 = 201, etc.)

·  Container Position – Order in which you would like this episode presented on storefront, in relation to other episodes (Ex: First episode aired = 1)

·  Theatrical Release Date (if applicable) – If no theatrical release date is available, you may enter the physical release date (DVD/BluRay) or the EST/VOD start date 

·  Original Air Date – When did this air on TV? If it was never broadcast, you may put a physical release date (DVD/BluRay), or enter the EST/VOD start date for digital release.

·  Genre(s) – Pick any from dropdown menu

·  Cast and Crew – Enter at least one of each

·  Copyright – Ex: 2015 Network Films Six, Inc.

·  Genre – Pick any from dropdown menu

·  Cast and Crew – Enter at least one of each 

·  Copyright – Ex: 2007 Universal Network Television LLC. All Rights Reserved.

·  Synopsis – Synopsis of film (4000 characters)

·  Short Synopsis – Short synopsis of film (350 characters)

·  Series Synopsis – Synopsis for entire series (should be the same across episodes) (400 characters)

·  Season Synopsis – Synopsis for entire series (should be the same across episodes) (4000 characters)

·  Synopsis – Synopsis for episode (4000 characters)

·  Short Synopsis – Shorter synopsis for episode (350 characters)

 

·  Production Company – Production Company for film

·  Country of Origin – Country where the film was made

 

·  Language – Language of metadata (Ex: English)

·  Original Spoken Locale – Original language of film (Ex: If the characters are speaking French, but the film has English subtitles, the Original Spoken Locale is French)
